We fight: Protecting northern Michigan’s youth mental health

Four boys I knew — boys who I had conversations with, boys who I rode bikes with — here in northern Michigan took their lives this/last year.

We can and must do better.

We all have a role to play in protecting our kids’ mental health.

I’ve made a promise to myself to do better — to fight for them — because I can’t take any more of these funerals.💔

The US Surgeon General recently published this new advisory on this crisis.

If you are a mental health professional, parent, community leader, concerned citizen, elected official, or middle/high school student who would like to join me in this fight, please do.

The kids need you.

I need you.

We need you.
